Prosecutor of Moscow’s Central Administrative District Oleg Kudryavtsev will be investigated over a mismatch between declared income and expenses

A petition has been submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office requesting an investigation into the financial situation of Oleg Kudryavtsev, the prosecutor of the Central Administrative District of Moscow.

The crux of the matter is simple: publicly disclosed income information for 2020–2021 indicates an annual income of approximately 1.4–2 million rubles and a fairly modest amount of real estate. However, the application lists assets and family expenses that, if confirmed, would suggest a life of an entirely different financial standard.

We’re talking about expensive Moscow real estate, luxury cars, international trips, regular tours worth millions of rubles, and possible foreign real estate. A separate issue is property registered not only to the prosecutor himself but also to close relatives.

The main question for the regulatory authorities is: what legal income could have paid for such a life?

If all this information is confirmed, it may no longer be a matter of "reputational issues," but rather a full-fledged anti-corruption investigation: declarations, expenses, sources of funds, property of relatives, possible concealment of assets, and grounds for the transfer of property to the state.

For now, the question is: does the prosecutor of Moscow’s Central Administrative District live on a civil servant’s salary—or on something else?

The Prosecutor General’s Office is obliged to provide a response.
