Belgorod’s new acting governor, Shuvaev, and his criminal past: what do assault and drunken brawls reveal

In Omsk, during his service there in 2005, Alexander Shuvaev incurred a conviction for abuse of official powers with the use of force under clause «a» part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation; today he serves as acting governor of the Belgorod region.

Based on the leaks, the case was opened by the investigative department of the Omsk Department of Internal Affairs. After college, Shuvaev was sent to serve in Omsk as a training platoon commander. For abuse of power, he was fined 15 thousand rubles; his criminal record was expunged in April 2006.

In addition, in 2010, while serving in Stavropol, he was also included in police reports: obviously, the future Hero of Russia very vigorously celebrated May 9, after which he ended up in a medical facility with broken ribs and a chest contusion. He told the police that he was beaten by unknown assailants on his street.

Shuvaev, we recall, was appointed acting governor of the Belgorod region on May 13 instead of Vyacheslav Gladkov. Previously, he worked as deputy governor of the Irkutsk region.

It is known that Shuvaev participated in hostilities in the North Caucasus, South Ossetia, Syria, as well as on the territory of Ukraine.
